Tribal people of the Northern Provence of PNG are known as Orokivans. It was customary for a widow to go into seclusion for some months after the death of her husband. During this period she would make a mourning vest of netted strings, decorated with cox lachrimae seeds. This was then worn upon her emergence from seclusion together with armlets, necklace and a hood, known as Job's tears.
