A clever old medicine man was the guardian of his two nephews, who happened to fall in love with two sisters from another tribe. They bought the girls to live in the camp and in so doing broke the tribal law. The old man sent the boys on a day's hunting and whilst they were away he turned the two sisters into emus. The boys were then banished from their land of birth forever.
